High On A Mountain

“And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths. ~Isaiah 2:2-3”

Youth choir arrangement with body percussion to make older hymns engaging and relevant.

High On A Mountain

My husband and I arranged and recorded this hymn for the “Come Follow Me” song submissions in 2024. Even though our arrangement was not selected, we had a great time recording it and look forward to sharing it with others. This arrangement could be used for a youth choir, especially one preparing for an upcoming temple dedication. The goal is to help our young people sing and enjoy some original, older hymns with a more modern application (hence the body percussion). It can be performed without the body percussion and is still a great piece.
